Nuevo mes y nuevo reto en A Place To Start. Esta vez es todo vale, no hay un tema especial, así que tenéis total libertad para crear.

A Place To Start February 2023

En el nuevo reto de este mes en A Place To Start hay dos paletas de color para elegir. Yo he jugado con la de tonos naranjas y azules. Pero no os preocupéis, que también tenéis la opción de todo vale.

There are two colour palettes to choose in the new challenge of this month on A Place To Start. I've played with the one with the orange and blue tones. But don't worry, you also have the anything goes option.

Portrait of a Lady

Ya os he contado otras veces que hay proyectos que planifico y otros que simplemente comienzo y cada ciertos días o semanas continuo, esta página pertenece al segundo grupo, primero empecé a trabajar con mis pinturas acrílicas en el fondo.

I've already told you other times there are projects I plan and others I just start them and every certain days or weeks I carry on, this page belongs to the second group, first I started to work with my acrilycs paints on the background.

Etude des Portraits

Cuando empecé a trabajar en estas páginas no pensé que al final incluiría dos de mis dibujos en ellas, simplemente hice como otras veces, preparar el fondo y jugar con mis plantillas.

When I started to work on these pages I never thought at the end I would include two of my drawings on them, I simply did as other times, to start to prepare the background and to play with my stencils.

La página de hoy está inspirada en mi libro favorito de Jane Austen, Persuasión, si por encima de Orgullo y Prejuicio, una historia sobre segundas oportunidades y esperanzas que me encanta y no sé cuántas veces he leído ya.

Today's page is inspired by my favourite Jane Austen's book, Persuasion, yeah it's even above Pride and Prejudice, a story about second chances and hopes I love and I don't know how many times I've read it.

Time to Make Decisions

Esos momentos donde tienes que tomar una decisión pueden ser eternos o pasar rápidamente y eso ha inspirado esta página, quería reflejar ese agobio de ahí que sean tonos oscuros los que predominen esta vez.

Those moments where you have to make a decision can be never-ending or pass fast that has inspired this page, I wanted to show that stress for that reason dark tones are the protagonists this time.

I'm Flying Away

Aunque últimamente no os he enseñado nada de mi diario artístico no significa que no esté trabajando en él, tengo unas cuantas páginas acabadas, como ésta llena de texturas y capas.

Although lately I haven't shown you anything of my art journal that doesn't mean I'm not working in it, I have several finished pages, as this one that is full of textures and layers.

No me puedo creer que entre que os conté que estaba pensando en hacer un mini álbum y que lo empecé y he acabado han pasado ya dos años.

I cannot believe two years have spent between I told you I was thinking in making a mini album, I started and I've finished.

Tags Mellizos - Twin Tags

Como os comenté en esta entrada Íker iba a tener una hermanita, que nació el mes pasado y se llama Salor, tanto a ella como a él les compré unos regalitos para celebrar ese día tan especial y les hice unos "tags mellizos".

As I told you in this post Íker was going to have a little sister, who was born the last month and her name is Salor, I bought her and him a little gifts to celebrate that special day and I made a "twin tags".

Hoy os traigo mi primera exploding box, que además es un proyecto muy especial para mí, he hecho un montón de fotos para que podáis ver bien la caja, ahora os cuento más.

The Fairies Dance

Cuando empecé a trabajar en estas dos páginas no tenía ni idea que acabaría haciendo algo tan colorido y lleno de flores, cuando terminé el fondo me encantaba pero sentía que le faltaba algo, y entonces vi estas maravillosas hadas en la galería de fotos de la British Library y supe que eran lo que necesitaba.

When I started to work in these two pages I didn't think I would make something so colourful and full of flowers, when I finished the background I loved it but I felt it needed something more, and then I saw these wonderful fairies in the gallery of the British Library and I knew they were what I needed.

Those Moments of Loneliness in a Lady's Room

Esta vez me han salido unas páginas muy vintage en mi diario, he ido improvisando y ha quedado una escena muy elegante, como sacada de Retrato de una Dama de Henry James, si no habéis leído el libro os lo recomiendo, es maravilloso.

This time I show you a very vintage pages in my journal, I've been improvising and I've got a very elegant scene, as it was part of The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James, , if you haven't read the book I recommend you it, it's wonderful.

Looking for my Path

Con esta página estreno un nuevo diario artístico, eso no significa que haya acabado el otro, que va me quedan un montón de páginas en blanco, pero tenía ganas de trabajar con otros tamaños de página y este diario me da esta oportunidad, así que ahora iré trabajando en los dos a la vez 😉.

I start a new art journal with this page, that doesn't mean I've finished the other one, hehehe it still has a lot of empty pages, but I wanted to work with pages with other sizes and this journal gives me the chance, so now I'm going to work with both 😉.

A Hot Summer is Better with You

No sé si os pasa también pero en verano con estos calores estoy más perezosa 😓y trabajo menos en mis proyectos, pero siempre intento hacer algo aunque sea sencillito, ayer hice un tag con el que voy a participar en el reto de Colouring in Scrapland, este mes todo vale y con estos calores la idea vino sola jejejeje.

I don't know if you have the same problem but in summer with heatwaves I'm lazier 😓and I work less in my projects, but I always try to make something although it is simple, yesterday I made a tag and with it I'm going to take part in the Colouring in Scrapland blog's challenge, this month anything goes and with heat the idea for it came to my mind very fast.

DIY VI: cambiando un álbum de fotos

Hacía tiempo que quería cambiarle el aspecto al álbum de fotos que utilizo para almacenar mis sellos más pequeños, es muy práctico para organizarlos pero quería darle un toque diferente y ayer me animé y en un rato lo hice.

I wanted to change the look of the album I use to keep those stamps that are a bit little, it's very handy to arrange them but I wanted to give it a different touch, so yesterday I made it and in a while it was done.

A Seven Colours Mirror

No sé que me ha pasado este mes pero me he animado y me presento a otro reto, estas vez al reto de junio del blog de la tienda Up&Scrap, pedían utilizar los colores del arcoiris 🌈 y bueno salvo el borde de las letras de la frase que es negro no he parado de usarlos.

I don't know what have happened this month but I'm going to use these two pages for another challenge, it's the june challenge of the Up&Scrap web site, they wanted we used all the colours of the rainbow 🌈 and well except for the edges of the letters that is black I haven't stop of using them.

Exotic Garden

Estamos acabando la primavera y todavía no había publicado nada lleno de plantas y flores, así que para compensarlo he hecho estas dos páginas de mi diario artístico, como veis están llenas de plantas muy especiales 😉.

Springtime is almost finishing and I hadn't still made a post full of plants and flowers, so to change this fact I've made these two new pages of my art journal, as you see they are full of very special plants 😉.

DIY V: bolsita para regalos

Hoy os traigo una bolsita que he hecho, estamos en plena época de BBCs (bodas, bautizos y comuniones) y estas bolsitas son muy prácticas para entregar pequeños regalos, a continuación os cuento más.

Today I show you a little bag I've made, we are in that season of the year that is full of weddings, christenings and first communions, so these bags are perfect to give little gifts, now I tell you more.

Walking on Sunshine

La primavera ya está aquí (bueno en mi región como sigamos así el verano llega dentro de nada jejeje) y los días se alargan, apetece pasear y disfrutar del buen tiempo y eso me ha inspirado para hacer estas dos páginas de mi diario artítisco.

Springtime is already here (well in my region with these temperatures summer is going to start very very soon hehehe) so days are longer, you want to walk and enjoy good weather and that has inspired me to make this two pages of my art journal.

Through the looking glass

Hoy he estado jugando con mis tintas, pinturas y otros elementos simplemente para ver las diferencias entre un fondo blanco y otro negro en mi diario artítisco, tenía ganas de experimentar y eso es lo que he hecho.

Today  I've been playing with my inks, paints and other elements just to see the differences between a white backgroud and another one black in my art journal, I wanted to try out and that's what I've made.
