Looking for my Path

Con esta página estreno un nuevo diario artístico, eso no significa que haya acabado el otro, que va me quedan un montón de páginas en blanco, pero tenía ganas de trabajar con otros tamaños de página y este diario me da esta oportunidad, así que ahora iré trabajando en los dos a la vez 😉.

I start a new art journal with this page, that doesn't mean I've finished the other one, hehehe it still has a lot of empty pages, but I wanted to work with pages with other sizes and this journal gives me the chance, so now I'm going to work with both 😉.

Para estrenarlo además he aprovechado para hacer por primera vez una transferencia de una imagen, no lo había hecho nunca y tenía muchas ganas, la imagen es un mapa que saqué de la galería de la British Library, todas sus imágenes son de dominio público y están encantados de que sean usadas por todo el mundo.

So for this page I've made for first time a transfer of an image, I've never made it and I wanted to do it since a lot of time, the image is a map I got in the British Library's gallery, all those images are public domain and they love everyone can use them.

Así que corté mi mapa en dos partes, no quería que quedara una imagen perfecta por lo que en la transferencia la desgasté y una vez hecho esto utilicé diferentes tintas y sellos para terminar el fondo.

So I cut the map in two parts, as I didn't want a perfect image I distressed the image in the transfer and once I made this I used different inks and stamps to finish the background.

A continuación llegó el momento de los garabatos, dibujé los dos marcos de las esquinas y la brújula y por último añadí la frase "Looking for my Path" (buscando mi camino).

Then it was the time for my doodles, I drew the two frames of the corners and the compass and finally I added the sentiment Looking for my Path.

Lo bueno de esta primera vez haciendo transferencias es que ya sé como jugar con la imagen para dejarla más o menos perfecta, pero claro como todo en esta vida es cuestión de práctica 😁.

The good thing of this first time trying to transfer is that I know how to play with the image to make it a bit more or less distressed, but well as all in this life is a question of trying it several times 😁.
