A Place To Start May 2022

Again, this month we have a sponsor on A Place To Start challenge, SheepSkiDesigns. I invite you to check their website, where you will find stamps as beautiful as this stunning lady I've used on my digital card. Oppss!!! I almost forget to tell you the topic of the challenge: lilies and lace or anything goes.

At the beginning I just had the lady stamp, so I coloured it and after that I didn't know how to go on. But searching among my stuff I found a cd full of images, perfect for these kinds of projects, from a magazine I bought in the UK.

The truth is I've been very lucky because all the elements of this card create a wonderful scene. Moreover, I know that cd is going to be very useful for my future digital projects.

You've already known that tomorrow it starts the new challenge. I hope you take part, all my team mates cannot wait for commenting your creations.

  1. Lovely card, Maria! I think you chose well, the Oriental frame around your sentiment, which pulls in the Asian lady. And the touch of lace on the side is very nice, as well. I do have a question though, when you call this a “digital card” does that mean it is not on paper at all, and is completely created using computer software? (If so, very impressive!)

    1. Yes, everything is digital. For that reason I said I was very lucky when I found that cd full of digital papers and decorations as the lace of my card and the background.

I have coloured the lady with an online free app and then I've created the different layers thanks to the cd and all the decorative elements it had and the app. Thanks for writing. Hugs, María.

  2. This is a gorgeous card!!! By the way, I don't know if you've seen any of my postings about either one of my two relatively new challenge blogs--Heart's Quest Challenge Blog and FarmQuest Challenge Blog. The current theme at FQCB has 2 criteria: cherries and a basket. Cherry blossoms/cherry tree/etc. are acceptable. See the background digital paper made me think of this. If you've got time before May 13th, please enter. Acceptable formats at both blogs are cards, ATCs, tags, bookmarks, journal entries, TN spreads, and scrapbook layouts.

    1. Thanks for telling me about your two new blog challenges, I'm now a new follower of both of them and I'm going to place the badges on my blog to help to promote them. I don't know if I will have time to create a project and take part in any of the challenges, but at least I hope this help a bit. Now that there are fewer and fewer blogs we should support one to each other. María, xx
