Something special |
Yep, I know the title of the post is not very original (a card for a gift card) but it's what is 😜. The truth is they're fantastic when you know a person loves a shop but they're a bit boring, so I made a card and an envelope to make it more interesting.
As you see I've added a bit of texture with an embossing folder and I've highlighted the drawing with turquoise ink. I've glued paper on the inside and I've created a pocket that has a washi tape edge.
I've created the background on a white paper with that leaves stamp and dark grey ink on the main side. After that I've coloured with my markers that cutie little dog and I've cut and inked the border. I've added the sentiment to finish.
I've picked a paper in a pink tones for the envelope to create contrast and I've decorated it with two stamps. As you see to give a gift card is very different when you add something made with love.

So simple but very effective and VERY cute! Nothing beats a puppy! Love your use of that stamp for the background. I haven't done a repeated design for years, but this works really well, Maria. Love the envelope :-)

I love how people play with repeated desings so I thought it would be a good idea to make one with this card and so I could work with a stamp I haven't used in a long time. Hugs, María.

ResponderEliminarWhen I cut the dog image I knew I needed something to create a connection with the rest of the card so to ink the border with the same colour of the background was the best idea.
