Yeah, I know it's Tuesday and I normally post on Saturdays but there's a good reason to make this little change, I'm the guest designer at Try it on Tuesday blog for these next two weeks theme Christmas is Coming, I cannot still believe it, it's the first time I do it and it's a honor for me.

The best thing of all this is at the same time I got this opportunity one of my colleagues needed a Christmas card and an envelope for her daughter's in-laws, she wanted something traditional, so I looked through my stamps and I found this poinsettia that was perfect for this project.

This time I've used my pigment sticks and my watercolours with the stamp, I've made the sentiment with copper embossing powders and to finish I've added two gems and little ink drops in the same colour to decorate.

I've made the ghosting technique with a stencil and water based ink in a piece of paper, so my colleague can write a dedication in a very elegant and different background.

And I've chosen this paper for the envelope that is perfect for the card, I've used a bit of burlap, another red flower and a feather to decorate it.

I encourage you to take part in these next two weeks challenge Christmas is Coming and to see all the beautiful projects the girls have made. I would also like to thank to Avril and to the rest of designers for this opportunity.

And finally I tell you I take part in this challenges:

  6. Your burlap (jute?) looks like a fence, Maria - it would certainly make a perfect one for future reference. I love this traditional poinsettia and all the little details you added. The splatters finish it off perfectly.
So glad to have you guest designing with us for this challenge.
    Happy Wednesday!

    1. Now you say it, it's true it seems a fence, good idea for a future, I got it thanks to my mother, my brother gave her a bouquet and it was there, and she was so nice of giving me it because she knew I will use it in my cards and tags. Hugs, María.
