Otra tarjeta para una jubilación

A finales del año pasado una de mis compañeras de trabajo se jubiló, como todos saben en la oficina que hago estas cositas era lógico que yo hiciera la tarjeta con la que íbamos a felicitarla y después darle todos sus regalos en vez de comprar una ya hecha, aquí os la enseño.

At the end of the last year one of my colleagues retired, as everyone knows at my office I make these little things it was logic I made the card to congratulate her and after that to give her all her gifts instead of buying one already made, so here I show you it.

En un papel para acuarelas hice la técnica del embossing resist, elegí un sello para fondos pero como no quería nada uniforme no cogí ninguna base para estampar, sólo el sello y así quedó de manera irregular, después añadí los polvos transparentes y los derretí y terminé el fondo con diferentes tintas.

I used the embossing resist technique in a watercolour paper, I chose a stamp for backgrounds but as I didn't wanted something uniform I didn't pick a block, only the stamp and thanks to that I stamped it in an irregular way, after that I added the transparent powders and I melted them and I finished the background with different inks.

En ese momento pensé que necesitaba algo más así que añadí dos capas más, una con dos formas troqueladas y la otra con un trozo de tela que teñí con varias tintas en spray.

I thought I needed something more in that moment so I added two layers more, one with two die-cut shapes and the other one with a piece of cloth I dyed with spray inks.

En el interior con una plantilla hice el fondo y lo enmarqué con un sello que simula unos remates de costura, además creé un bolsillo para poder guardar el folio en el que iban a firmar todos los compañeros que íbamos a la comida de despedida.

I made the background of the inside with a stencil and I framed it with a stamp of a sewing ending, I also created a pocket to put a paper where everyone who assisted to the lunch to celebrate her retirement was going to sing.

También añadí un chipboard y con pasta de papel y un molde que tengo hice los dos circulitos que veis, les di una capa de gesto negro y cuando se secó los pinté. La frase la troquelé y la pegué en las diferentes caras de la tarjeta.

I also added a chipboard and with paper clay and a mold I have I made the two circle shapes you see, I painted them with black gesso and when it dried I give them colour. I die-cut the sentiment and I glued it in the different sides of the card, it says in English "It's now your moment, enjoy it".

Por último hice el sobre, como siempre con la ayuda de mi Envelope Punch Board, escogí un papel que no necesitaba muchos adornos así que estampé unas flores y unas mariposas y añadí un poco de washi tape.

Finally I made the envelope, as always with the help of my Envelope Punch Board, I chose a piece of paper that didn't need many decorations, so I stamped a flowers and a butterflies and I added a bit of washi tape. 

Y estos son todos los pasos que he seguido para hacer la tarjeta, esta vez me lancé a hacer una portada un poco más abstracta y estaba preocupada porque no sabía si le iba a gustar pero me dijo que le encantaba, cuando ves que con un poco de papel y de imaginación puedes hacer a alguien muy feliz es cuando te das cuenta que no se debe perder la pasión por lo hecho a mano.

And these are the steps I followed to make the card, this time I made a bit more abstract front page and I was worried because I didn't know if she would like it but she told me she loved it, when you see that with a bit of paper and imagination you can make someone so happy it's when you realized that it cannot lose the passion for handmade things.
