12 tags of 2016 - Abril

Otro mes otro tag por hacer, en esta ocasión Tim Holtz ha utilizado unos cuantos productos que yo no tenía, así que ha tocado improvisar un poco pero creo que ha dado unos resultados excelentes.

Another month more and  another tag to make, this time Tim Holtz has used a few products I didn't have, so I've improvised a bit but I think the final result is great.

Para el fondo he usado unas tintas en spray con brillo que tengo, he utilizado tonos morados, verde patina, rosa claro y amarillo con toques naranjas, siento que en la foto no se aprecien los brillitos, son perlados y le dan mucha luminosidad a esta capa.

For the background I've sprayed a inks with shine, the tones are purple, patina, light pink and yellow with orange touches, I'm sorry you cannot see in the pic the little shines, they're pearly and they give a lot of brightness to this layer.

Ahora tocaba elegir el troquel para el falso mosaico, necesitaba uno que tuviera un tamaño adecuado así que cuando vi esta pluma lo tuve claro, era perfecta. Para hacer esta técnica me acordé de mi pasta con efecto arena y le di un poco de color con Distress Stain Vintage Photo, la textura que creó me encanta, dejé secar y a continuación recorté pedacitos de papel que me habían sobrado de otros proyectos, los pegué encima y con mi Glossy Accents los cubrí.

Now it was time to choose the die for the faux mosaic, I needed one with the right size so when I saw this feather I thought it was perfect. To make this technique I remembered I have paste with sand effect, I give it a bit of colour with Distress Stain Vintage Photo, it created a texture I love, I let it dry and after that I cut a few little pieces of paper of old projects, I glued on the feather and I covered them with Glossy Accents.

Por suerte tengo una carpeta de embossing con textura de madera así que he podido imitar la capa que crea Tim, primero con el rodillo he aplicado un poco de Distress Paint Picket Fence, he secado y después he utilizado Distress Stain Brushed Pewter, Tarnished Brass, Tumbleg Glass y Vintage Photo, para que se mezclasen bien he rociado con un poco de agua. El color final me encanta, ese efecto envejecido y los toques marrones, casi parece madera de verdad.

I have got a bit of luck because I have an embossing folder with a wood texture so I've been able of copying the layer Tim made, first of all with a brayer I've painted with a bit of Distress Paint Picket Fence, I've dried it and after that I've used Distress Stain Brushed Pewter, Tarnished Brass, Tumbleg Glass y Vintage Photo, to mix them I sprayed a bit of water. I love the final colour, that distressed effect and the brown touches, it almost seem real wood.

Por último ya sólo quedaba adornar un poco el tag, no he querido recargarlo así que he añadido dos estrellitas y una perla, una tirita de washi tape y la frase que es perfecta para el troquel que he usado. Espero que os guste, yo estoy encantada con ella, creo que se va notando la práctica. Como siempre muchas gracias por leer mi blog.

The last thing to do was to decorate a bit the tag, I didn't want to overdecorate it so I've only added two little stars and a pearl, a bit of washi tape and the sentiment, that is perfect for the die I've used.
