12 tags of 2015 - October

Este mes ha sido todo un reto hacer el tag que nos proponía Tim Holtz en su blog porque no tenía los troqueles que él utiliza y no sabía que hacer como alternativa, es cierto que en España cada vez se celebra más Halloween, aunque lo tradicional es celebrar Todos Los Santos, así que no se me ocurría nada hasta que de repente caí en las calaveras decoradas que hacen en México para la fiesta del Día de Muertos, he querido hacer un pequeño homenaje muy respetuoso a esa fiesta y esa ha sido mi inspiración final.

This month has been a bit difficutl to create the tag that Tim Holtz proposed us in his blog because I didn't have the dies he uses and I didn't know what to do as alternative, it's truth in Spain we celebrate more and more Halloween, although what is tradition is to celebrate "Todos Los Santos", so I didn't have any idea until suddenly I thought in decorated skulls that people make in Mexico for the Día de Muertos, so I've wanted to make a little and very respectful tribute to that celebration and that has been my inspiration.

Así que hice un par de bocetos de las calaveras y después les di color con mis rotuladores Spectrum Noir, los colores y motivos han sido improvisados, me he puesto a dibujarlos directamente y han quedado muy bien.

So I've made a sketch of the skulls and after that I've coloured them with my Spectrum Noir markers, I've improvised the colours and decorations, I've directly drawn them and I like a lot the result.

Para el fondo del tag he jugado con texturas y capas, he envejecido un papel y lo he entintado con varios colores, lo he pegado sobre cartulina naranja, le he dado unas pequeñas capas de Distress Crackle Paint y después de que secara he utilizado más tintas con brillo y mate para conseguir esa textura y colores finales, simplemente he jugado con ellas sin pensar mucho y he conseguido hacer un fondo precioso. Para acabar he adornado con unas estrellitas y lentejuelas, he añadido una palabra y como me parecía que necesitaba algo más he utilizado cuerda negra para darle el toque final.

For the tag's background I've played with textures and layers, I've distressed a paper and I've inked it with several colors, I've glued it on orange cardstock, I've added a little layers of Distress Crackle Paint and after it dried I've used more sparkle and matte inks to get that texture and final colours, I've only played with them without thinking what effects they would create and I've made a beautiful background. To finish I've decorated it with a little stars and sequins and I've added the sentiment and as I thought it needed something more I've glued a bit of black string to give the final touch.

El no tener los mismos materiales ha hecho que me arriesgue y juegue un poco creando capas y usando mezclas de colores diferentes que normalmente no hago, en fin he usado la imaginación que es el objetivo de este reto, he disfrutado muchísimo haciéndolo y en una pequeña dificultad ha habido la oportunidad de hacer algo muy original. ¿Qué opináis? ¿Os gusta?.

Not to have the same stuff has made I risk and play a bit making layers and using mixtures of different colours that I don't normally make, I've used my imagination that is the objetive of this challenge, I've enjoyed a lot making it and in a little difficulty I've found the oportunity to make something very original.
