I Am No Bird

Hacía tiempo que no publicaba una página de mi diario artístico, así que he pensado que hoy era un día perfecto para hacerlo. Creo que es uno de los proyectos donde más he usado más plantillas, me encantan todas las capas y texturas que puedes crear con ellas.

I didn't publish a page from my art journal a time ago, so I've thought today was a perfect day to do. I think this is one of the projects where I've used more stencils, I love all the layers and textures you can create with them.

Para hacer el fondo he jugado con mis ceras pigmentadas y pintura acrílica blanca. Me encanta el efecto que he conseguido con esos tonos, parece que en vez de ser tela de lienzo es tela vaquera.

I've played with my pigment sticks and white acrylic paint to make the background. I love the effect I've got with those tones, it seems that is jean fabric and no canvas.

A continuación he dibujado este cara y la he pegado y con otra plantilla, pasta de textura y polvos anaranjados he creado el pelo, y a su lado con otra plantilla, más pasta de textura y mis ceras he añadido la otra capa.

Then, I've drawn this face, and I've glued and I've created the hair with another stencil, texture paste and orange powders, and next to it I've added another layer with more modeling paste and my pygment sticks.

Para mezclar y envejecer la unión entre el pelo y el otro estampado he usado de nuevo mis ceras. Por último he añadido la frase que es de uno de mis libros favoritos, Jane Eyre de Charlotte Brontë.

I've used again my pygment sticks to mix and distress the link between the hair and the other pattern. Finally, I've added the quote that is from one of my favourites books, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë.
