I didn't go to swim long time ago and I don't have any excuses because in my gym there is a swimming pool, two weeks ago I went and the truth is I don't know what I stopped, I love it, I don't have time to think, I just swim, disconnect, feel free and relax. And those feelings and another reason more have inspired this tag.
I've used metallic acrylic paints and watercolours, as you see the two sides are different, at the end I decided the main one would be the one with the blue and turquoise tones, although I also love the other one and for that it has its own part of tentacles.
The octopus is from The Graphics Fairy web, this time I haven't transferred it I've glued it. The sentiment is from a song I love by Morcheeba The Sea, that is the other reason that has inspired this tag, here's a video with the song so you can listen to it if you wish.
I wanted to show the calm I feel when I swim and listen to this song, I hope you like it.
I take part in the next challenges with this tag:
- Try it on Tuesday: splatters and splodges.
- Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: bright and cheerful.
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: anything goes.
This is wonderful, Maria. I love the shades you used and the splatters and splodges make it so much more realistic. Last time I went to a pool, I'd forgotten how to swim...I never did swim naturally and I certainly don't float, despite everyone telling me everyone can! So glad you found something you can really lose yourself in...I'll stick to my books, lol ;-)
